Since its debut in New York at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in 2019 up to its upcoming run in Kennedy Center Opera House, Moulin Rouge! The Musical has been one of the finest shows looked for by local and international audiences. Moulin Rouge, being a colorful musical in both set and music, appeals to a large diversity of viewers and has secured its position in Broadway legend.
The musical follows the story of Christian, an aspiring American writer who journeys to Paris in search of inspiration and his big break, who then bumps into and eventually falls in love with the star performer Satine of the Moulin Rouge nightclub, one of the most famous entertainment venues in Montmartre in the late 19th century. Their connection however is forced into secrecy, as Christian and Satine start to experience a string of difficulties, including the temper of one of Moulin Rouge’s loyal customers, the duke of Monroth who wishes Satine for himself and prevents Christian from a public relationship with Satine.
