If there has ever been a triumphant revival of a musical theatre production on Broadway, let it be the 2023 staging of Alfred Uhry’s compelling ‘Parade’.

‘Parade’ left an immense imprint on all theatregoers - devotees, professionals, critics, and amateurs alike, and with its harrowing tale of conviction, compassion, devotion, and love in a world of disunity, misinformation, and injustice, it drove a paramount message home. With heartfelt performances by a world-renowned cast, incredible visuals, Jason Robert Brown’s incredible score, ‘Parade’ racked up no less than two Tony Awards, six Drama Desk Awards, and a New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best Musical.

Based on a true story, ‘Parade’ tells the harrowing tale of the 1913 trial, imprisonment, and eventual execution of Leo Frank, falsely accused of murdering and raping a 13-year old factory worker. With a flawed trial and media coverage fuelled by antisemitism and a rather violent outcome, ‘Parade’ rings as true now as it did a century ago when Leo Frank was captured. Whilst the production has a sinister undertone throughout - especially since Leo Frank’s story is familiar, is it also filled with hope and humanity, and at the very heart of it, the fierce love between Leo and his wife in a time of great distress.

‘Parade’ is a poignant musical that will catch you off-guard, the music is masterfully composed, arranged, and performed with great prowess and passion, the production has just enough razzle dazzle to captivate, and the tale is gripping - an all-around must-see.

And this summer, hot on the heels of its Broadway revival, the parade is finally marching down to the Kennedy Center Opera House - just down the road from you! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity - one that should be grabbed with both hands!

If it’s pin-drop acoustics, top-shelf sound and lighting, fantastic amenities, and comfortable seating with crystal-clear sight-lines you’re after, the Kennedy Center Opera House is your go-to. All-in-all, a most memorable theatrical experience is on the cards!

Make sure to get your hands on those premier seats now, and experience ‘Parade’ for yourself - it will stick with you long after the curtains have fallen and the theatre lights have dimmed.
